Class Interruptions

In room 42 we have has disruptions such as,

  • Phone
  • Messengers
  • Dental Nurse
  • Intercom
  • Low internet

How they affect us:
Phone: We have arguments about who answers the phone when some people just what to work.

Messengers: The messengers come in and they try to find the teacher but they never can so they ask us and disturb us from our learning.

Dental Nurse: The dental nurse sends someone over to get another person and when they come and ask for us it disturbs Miss Campbell from teaching us.

Intercom: The intercom comes on and we have to wait until it's over even if it's not for any of us.

Low Internet: We can't finnish our work because the internet is slow.

Solutions to these distractions,

Phone: Only one person answers the phone.

Messengers: I think that there should be a job to get all the messages, one person would collect all the
messages when the messengers come and hand them to the right person.

Social Experiment

Social means making contact with people like talking and laughing with them.
What I think experiment means is when my make something blow up or you experiment on a new invention.
I think that the video "social experiment" is about an experiment out in a social street.

Aim:
To find out how people will react at words coming at them but they don't no were it's coming from.

Hypothesis:
I think that people will react to this because if there is a compliment or if there is a insulting words coming out of a speaker they will try to find were they are coming from and look to see who is saying it.
Equipment:
  • Speaker
  • A busy street
  • Video camera
  • A microphone

Sleep over

After the disco last night I went to my best friend Leka's house, When Leka's mum picked me up we went down to countdown to get Miss McKenzie a birthday present! After that we when home and Leka showed me around her house, We met her Kitten Simba, Her dog Jazz, her three fish, Her guinea- pig and her bunny. It was getting late but we were still ecstatic from the disco so we had some home made sushi and a drink before we went to bed. We finished that and it was about 10:30, so we went off to bed, we went off to bed and were on our laptops for until we decided it was getting late it was about 11:30. We went to bed and talked till about 12:00 o'clock. Then we thought that it might be a good idea if we went to bed.

2014 FIFA World Cup

Burgers:
The Brazil burger

The Argentina burger.

The France burger.

The spain Brekkie rap.

The Rio frozen sprite.

The England pie.

The Brazil burger contains:

  • Beef,
  • Red Kidney Beans,
  • Sweet Corn,
  • Red Onion,
  • Tomato Puree,
  • Water,
  • Green Capsicum,
  • Red Capsicum,
  • Seasoning (Salt, Spices [Paprika, Cumin, Coriander, Chilli]
This burger represents Brazil because the ingredients in it like the spices and herbs are used alot in Brazil for burgers and other ting like that to jazz them up a little.

This is my burger representing the Chile Rap.

  • Tuna.
  • Red onion.
  • Mild green chilli.
  • Seasoning, (Salt, Pepper.)
  • Cheese.
  • Lettuce.
  • Sweet chilli sauce.
  • Avocado.
the reason that I have chosen tuna for my meat  is because tuna is used in chile a lot for raps but they also use it for burgers and hotdogs, I know it’s quite a weird combination but they must seen to like it. Green chilli is also used a lot in chile because they like their spice up there. I have put sweet chilli sauce on the rap because the people in chile tend to use this sauce quite a bit. Here is an example of the inside on the rap.

How to Video

RATING - 0 - 3: 0 = not done 3 = extremely well done

- Do I have a title slide?: 2

- Do I have subtitles for the steps?: 1.5

- How well does the voiceover timing match the photos?: 3

- How well do the photos match the script?: 2

- Are the photos well focused?: 2

- Is the audio clear? : 3

Reflection
A strength was we had finished the script quit fast and we worked as a team.

A problem we overcame was we didn't have vary many photos at the start but we added them and they made the video spectacular.

Our best shot was the one when we were walking around the school because is shows very well how to hold your laptop in two ways.

A piece of advice I would give to next year’s class making How to Videos is.
Just have fun and pick a subject that will be useful for the year sevens that come next.

Mode, Median, mean and range,
Mode, Median, mean and range,
don't you think these word sound strange,
don't you think these word sound strange,
I will be your mind to change,

Mode mode mmm mode mode
it's the numbers that accrues to be the most most.
mode mode mm mode mode
it's the numbers that accrues to be the most most

line up all the numbers from the smallest to the biggest
and the one thats in the middle is the median
go median middle number
go median middle number

now the thread ones being not nice but mean
it's the average number if you know what I mean
add up all the numbers  and divide it be the number of added
Yeah you know what I mean
add up all the numbers  and divide it be the number of added

It's the average number, mean, its the average number
1 more round and the song is done
Lets talk about range and have some fun
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number, in the group, in the group
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number , in the group, in the group

Mode, Median, Mean and Range

Don't you think these words sound strange?
Don't you think these words sound strange?

I just got your mind to change

Quick Explanation

Mean: The mean is the average number. Add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added.
Median: You line up the numbers from smallest to big and the median is the number in the middle.
Mode: The mode is the number that occurs the most.
Range: The range is the biggest number minus the smallest number in the group

number

Examples
Mean:
If my numbers are 3,2,3,4, the mean is 3 because I add all the numbers = 12 then I divide by 4 because there are 3 numbers.
Median:
If my numbers are 1,2,3,4,5 the median is 3 because it is the middle number.
Mode:
If my numbers are 1,2,2,3,3,3,4 the mean is 3 because it occurs the most.
Range:
If my number are 8,2,4,3 the range is 6 because I get my largest number, 8 and minus the smallest number, 2 which equals 2.

Science Behind Glow Sticks.

What I think now (before we start)
I think when you snap a glow stick and you get it on your skin it will make you skin glow in the dark until you was it off. If you leave the liquid on you skin for to long the toxins might go into your skin and you could get a bad reaction.

What I think now (after hearing others’ ideas)
What I think now is that their is a glass tube in the middle of the glow stick and when you crack the tube and the two toxins meet they will make the tube glow.

What I think now (after seeing Miss C cut open the tube)
My second prediction was right because when Miss C cracked the glow stick the two toxins mixed and made it glow.
What I think now (after researching)
What I know now is the their are two chemicals a suitable dye and sensitiser, or fluorophor

3 questions I still have

  1. What die is used most?
  2. What die is most harmful?
  3. Were are glow sticks most used?

Synthesis is development in knowledge after researching and experimenting.

Statistics Lesson

For maths we are learning how to do statistics

- what is a sample?
A sample is like when you take a small something taken out and tested them insted of the hole lot.

- why take a sample?
Because it's takes to long to do if you do the hole lot.

- what are some examples of sampling done irl?
e.g.
  • Taking a blood sample
  • Getting a few cooking a testing them instead of the hole lot.
